TallyBook logger captures flow and pressure in water injection trial

A North Sea operator required a temporary water injection trial on a specific reservoir zone that was not served by the existing water injection system. Accurate flow and pressure data were essential to assess the performance of the trial and support reservoir evaluation, without introducing labour-intensive manual data collection.
A 2” HP Treating Line, including a 2” Flowmeter, was installed and pressure tested by the existing service provider. Eztek supplied a TallyBook touch, which was connected to the 2” Flowmeter and also a pressure transducer installed in the Treating Line. The TallyBook touch was configured to capture flow and pressure data from the temporary water injection supply.
Data is now being downloaded every 12 hours and submitted to the client’s Reservoir Engineering Department for evaluation.
The use of the TallyBook touch provides accurate, reliable data, eliminating the need for manual data gathering and significantly reducing operational effort while improving data quality.
The successful use of the TallyBook touch during the temporary trial has given the client confidence in the data collected, with the long term objective to transition to a permanent installation.
